My Yoga path

What began as a simple curiosity about yoga quickly developed into a deep passion that accompanies my life every day. Yoga has transformed my life in a way that I would never have thought possible before.

Yoga, with all its facets and wisdom, reaches far beyond the exercise mat and into every corner of life.

Qualification

In my work as a yoga teacher, I attach great importance to combining sound, scientific knowledge with practical experience.
I have always had a fascination for personal development, the human psyche and the associated lifelong learning.
For this reason, in my Bachelor of Arts in Educational Sciences with a focus on lifelong learning and media education/adult education in the major subject and sociology in the minor subject studied.
Internships at management seminars at Lufthansa in the training and conference center and working as a student assistant in the Research and teaching at the Institute for Adult Education at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz followed.
Teaching parts of the management seminars and various tutorial courses at university made it increasingly clear to me what others had already seen in me for some time: I really enjoy teaching. Researching and deepening knowledge (for which I like to immerse myself in books and studies) and then passing this on in a processed form and combining it with various application-related methods fills me with great joy.

In addition to my passion for adult education and personal development, I have developed another passion: Yoga. When I started practicing yoga, I knew that I wanted to learn more about yoga and how it works. That's why I started my 10-month, certified 200-hour RYT yoga teacher training at the Balance Yoga Institute in Mainz in 2018. I delved deeper into the teachings of yoga and my fascination for yoga has grown steadily ever since.
I quickly realized that yoga is lifelong learning and personal development in a long tradition. Since then, I have been combining my two greatest passions and teaching yoga with great fulfillment.
In my bachelor's thesis, I have also combined these two topics close to my heart and created a An essay on the effects of yoga on the lifelong learning of adults in the modern meritocracy.

In order to deepen my knowledge of the effects of yoga even more, I decided in 2022 to complete a Sport Master of Science called "movement and wellbeing" to study in English.
In this Master's degree, I am working intensively on the Research into alternative sports, health and healing methods (especially yoga) and the latest findings in neuroscience and (health) psychology. It is important to me to combine the scientific methods of the Western world with the long-established methods of the Eastern world and to contribute to research on yoga and its effects (including on various physical and mental illnesses).

Since completing my 200-hour yoga teacher training, I have followed diverse further training (including in meditation with Surya Maud Drogi, as well as in Chinese health QiGong with Grand Master Shuanglai and traditional Chinese medicine, led by the TCM University in Shanghai, China). I take my principle of continuing my education and always remaining a student literally, which is why I will be starting my Advanced Teacher Training with Dr. Rose Erin Vaughan, Anton Brandt and Tony Lupinacci in Portugal and I am very much looking forward to everything that may unfold with this inner journey.

There is no substitute for sharing my passion for yoga with other people and seeing the sparkle in their eyes and the relaxation on their faces after a good yoga practice.
I am very grateful for the trust that my students place in me time and time again and I look forward to accompanying you on your (yoga) path.

My principles

For me, yoga is more than just an exercise practice; it is a philosophy of life that brings body, mind and soul into harmony.

My teaching can be summarized in three key words:

Awareness

The connection between breathing and movement can promote awareness of one's own body, mind and the surrounding world.

Security

I emphasize creating and maintaining a safe and supportive space for everyone to explore their unique yoga path.

Transformation

Regular yoga practice not only provides physical strength, but also creates space to recognize challenges and face them with inner peace.
